This session offers practical, empowering guidance for individuals living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. We’ll explore everyday helpful hints, strategies for staying active and independent, and steps you can take right now to live well with Parkinson’s disease. The talk will cover how to prevent falls, handle unexpected home emergencies, and recognize when a nursing home decision may be necessary. We’ll also look at ways to fight isolation by maintaining community, interests, and hobbies, as well as highlight resources like the Parkinson’s Voice Project’s Loud Crowd and Power Up programs. Finally, we’ll discuss effective approaches for coping with the emotional and physical challenges of Parkinson’s, helping you build confidence and resilience in daily life.
