Music lovers who just can’t get enough of the doo-wop era can enjoy a trip back in time to the ’50s and ’60s where you can relive the past with Solid Gold Saturday Night – Remember the Fifties, featuring a Salute to The Drifters, The Platters – as well as special guests The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue. The Drifters, regarded as one of early rock and roll’s greatest groups, charted with many million selling hits, including “Under the Boardwalk,” “On Broadway,” “Save The Last Dance for Me,” “Up On The Roof,” “There Goes My Baby,” “This Magic Moment” and others. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked The Drifters number 81 on their 100 greatest artists of all time. The group has also been inducted into The Rock and Roll and Vocal Group Hall of Fames. The Salute to The Drifters lineup is led by legendary longtime lead vocalist Linwood Peel of Elsbeary Hobbs’ Drifters, who is regarded by many as one of the best live performers in Drifters history. The Platters were formed in Los Angeles in the 1950s and since their first recording was released, the group has sold over 100 million records worldwide. The Platters have over 16 gold records to their credit. Among their early rock and roll hits are “The Great Pretender,” “Only You,” “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” “The Magic Touch,” “Twilight Time,” “My Prayer,” “Harbor Lights” and more. The Platters were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue – think of a mini-version of Sha Na Na, tours nationwide on their own as well as with many singing groups from the 1950s and early 1960s, including The Tokens, Danny and The Juniors, The
DelVikings, The Marvelettes, The Belmonts, and The Coasters. This is a power-packed show featuring 3 Great Acts in one AMAZING Day Out!
